Wing it to the Cascade Head Scenic Area for a bird walk along the scenic Salmon River with Seven Capes Bird Alliance this Saturday, Nov. 8.

Suitable for birders of all abilities, the walk starts at Knight Park and proceeds through woodlands, marsh and along the river offering sightings of grebes, gulls, cormorants, waterfowl and raptors. Participants will also learn more about these protected estuarine habitats and the birds and other wildlife that depend on them.

All Seven Capes Bird Alliance walks are free, family-friendly, easy to moderately easy and no pre-registration or experience is required. Binoculars and guidebooks are provided. Walks are held rain or shine; dress appropriately for coastal weather and muddy trails.

The group will meet in the Knight Park parking lot at the end of Three Rocks Road in Otis at 9 am. For more information, go to sevencapes.org.
