Water performance this will be...
An out-of-this-world group will fill the Lincoln City Cultural Center with "Cosmic Americana” when singer-songwriter Cassandra Lewis arrives with her all-female backing band on Wednesday, July 8.
Nested between appearances at the High Sierra Music Festival and the Oregon Country Fair, the group brings a sound that blends classic country, psychedelic soul and cinematic storytelling. Joining Lewis on stage will be guitarist Katie Skene of Nashville, Tennessee; upright bassist Emily Turner of Applegate; and drummer Heather Thomas of Nashville, a nationally recognized performer whose credits span multiple genres.
"Cassandra Lewis has one of those rare voices that can stop a room in its tracks," said Jason Corso, cultural center program director. "Her music feels timeless and modern at the same time. Combined with this incredible band, audiences can expect a truly memorable performance."
Lewis has built a growing national audience through emotionally resonant songwriting and a dynamic stage presence. Her forthcoming album, "In Love + War," draws inspiration from the lives of soldiers, dreamers, lovers and wanderers, exploring themes of hardship, hope, heartbreak and resilience.
Born on a former World War II military base in Nuremberg, Germany, Lewis spent much of her childhood moving from place to place. Those experiences continue to inform songs centered on belonging, identity and perseverance. Her live performances move effortlessly from intimate reflection to explosive energy, creating a concert experience that is both personal and expansive.
Audiences can expect soaring vocals, soulful storytelling and a kaleidoscopic musical journey that celebrates both the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
Wednesday's concert begins at 7 pm at the Lincoln City Cultural Center, located at 540 NE Hwy. 101. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $20 for seniors and students. For more information, go to lincolncity-culturalcenter.org or call 541-994-9994.
