Don’t miss this diva when she descends upon the Newport Performing Arts Center for the “Divas of Soul” concert this Friday, March 27.

CeCe Teneal performs the high-energy show, celebrating five decades of chart-topping music, featuring songs made famous by legendary female artists including Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan, Tina Turner and Whitney Houston.

The performance takes audiences on a musical journey across genres and eras, from disco hits such as “Ring My Bell” and “Best of My Love” to powerful ballads like “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going,” along with pop favorites including “What’s Love Got to Do with It” and “I’m Every Woman.”

Teneal is an award-winning performer who has received four Independent Music Award nominations and won for Best Gospel Song for “I Heard You Prayin’,” Best R&B Album for “Train from Osteen” and Best Soul/Funk/Fusion Song for “Danger.” She has performed as the halftime headliner for the 2019 Citrus Bowl, and in 2022, officials in Orlando and Orange County, Florida, proclaimed September 17 as “Annual CeCe Teneal Day” in recognition of her contributions to arts and entertainment.
