Tesla Quartet promise an electric evening
Enjoy a free community performance by the Tesla Quartet at the Lincoln City Cultural Center this Monday, Feb. 16.
Presented in partnership with Neskowin Chamber Music, the morning concert offers audiences of all ages the chance to hear an ensemble praised for precision, passion and adventurous programming.
Formed at Juilliard School, the quartet has appeared at major halls, universities and festivals across the United States and abroad. The group is known for championing classical masterworks while also embracing contemporary voices, delivering performances that combine technical excellence with emotional depth and accessibility.
“We are thrilled to welcome the Tesla Quartet to Lincoln City,” said Programs Director Jason Corso. “Their commitment to community engagement and their ability to connect with audiences makes this a perfect fit for our mission of making the arts accessible to everyone.”
First violinist Ross Snyder founded the ensemble in 2008 and has performed widely in North America and Europe, appearing as a soloist and concertmaster with orchestras including the Pittsburgh Symphony and Verbier Festival Orchestra. Second violinist Michelle Lie has studied in South Korea and the United States and is recognized for performances marked by expressive range and clarity.
Violist Edwin Kaplan is an active recitalist and educator who frequently participates in outreach and masterclasses, bringing a warm, grounded presence to the quartet’s sound. Cellist Austin Fisher, formerly assistant principal with the Colorado Symphony, contributes a rich tone and deep ensemble experience.
