Pieces of eight in Manzanita
Manzanita’s Hoffman Center for the Arts will present a vibrant array of artwork in “Goat Island,” opening this Friday, May 1.
The exhibit features work by eight artists, educators, colleagues and friends from the Pacific Northwest College of Art.
Meet the artists at an opening reception for the exhibit from 3 to 5 pm on Saturday, May 2.
The show features work by Teresa Christiansen, Kristin Bradshaw, Emily Ginsburg, Yoshi Kitai, David Eckard, Matthew Letzelter, Michelle Ross and Kate Copeland. The artists are all faculty at the college, which has helped shape generations of artists across the Pacific Northwest.
The exhibition highlights each artist’s current creative practice while engaging in a shared dialogue around color, form, line, collection, extraction and being. The show is a look at the artists’ work beyond the classroom and administrative roles many hold at the college.
The Hoffman Center for the Arts is located at 594 Laneda Avenue in Manzanita and is open Thursday through Sunday from noon to 5 pm, except the last Sunday of every month. For more information, go to hoffmanarts.org.
