Pet Parade delivers the fun in Toledo

We feed them, we love them, and every October, many of us expect payback by forcing them to submit to being swathed in Halloween costumes and paraded around to give people the opportunity to die from the cute.

One of those opportunities is coming around again with the second annual Halloween Pet Parade and Wiener Roast, taking place at the Port of Toledo Waterfront Park this Saturday, Oct. 11.

Costume contest registration begins at 11:30 am, with the parade following at noon. After the parade will be an awards ceremony with prizes for best costumes and the free wiener roast. New this year will be live music and a photo booth where you can preserve the cuteness of you and your decorated partner.

Pets must be leashed at all times.

Saturday's event runs from 11 am to 2 pm at the Port of Toledo’s Waterfront Park, located at 127 NW A Street. For more information, call 308-530-9366.
