Get ready for a Frisson reaction in Neskowin
Neskowin Chamber Music’s 30th anniversary season continues when the Frisson Trio d’Anches performs at Wi-Ne-Ma Christian Camp this Sunday, March 22.
The New York-based woodwind ensemble — Thomas Gallant on oboe, Bixby Kennedy on clarinet and Rémy Taghavi on bassoon — is known for its distinctive blend of tone and expressive ensemble playing. The program will highlight the French Trio d’Anches tradition with works by Jean Françaix, Darius Milhaud and Bohuslav Martinů, along with music by Heitor Villa-Lobos.
The trio’s Oregon Coast appearance is part of a 2025–26 national season that includes performances and residencies across the United States.
“We are honored to be part of Neskowin’s milestone 30th season,” said artistic director Thomas Gallant. “The rugged beauty of the Oregon Coast provides the perfect backdrop for the crystalline sounds of our reed trio.”
In addition to the Neskowin performance, the ensemble will present a free abbreviated concert at Driftwood Public Library in Lincoln City at 4 pm this Saturday, March 21.
Sunday’s concert begins at 3 pm in the chapel of Wi-Ne-Ma Christian Camp, located at 5195 Winema Road in Cloverdale. Tickets are $40. For more information, go to neskowinchambermusic.com.
