Get a kick out of self defense class
Nationally recognized self-defense instructor Tiffany Richards will bring her Peaceful Warrior Woman program to Lincoln City on Saturday, Sept. 12, offering women practical skills to improve personal safety and confidence.
The two-hour class is designed to help participants recognize and avoid potentially dangerous situations before they escalate while teaching effective self-defense techniques that can be used in real-world encounters. Students will also learn how to generate more powerful strikes, defend against multiple attackers and use common everyday items as improvised defensive tools.
Richards has become one of the country's leading personal safety instructors, teaching self-defense programs for organizations including Amazon and the Girl Scouts of the USA.
Two sessions will be offered, from 11 am to 1 pm and from 2 to 4 pm. Advance registration is required.
The Saturday, Sept. 12, classes take place at the Taft Athletic Club, located at 4845 SW Hwy. 101. Registration is $49. For more information, go to peacefulwarriorwoman.com.
