Come and meet your makers

More than 65 Pacific Northwest artists and artisans will descend upon the Lincoln City Cultural Center for the third annual Lincoln City Summer Art Festival this Friday and Saturday, July 31 and Aug. 1. Along with  live music, food vendors and family-friendly activities, visitors can browse original works including paintings, pottery, sculpture, glass art, jewelry, photography, fiber art, metal art and driftwood creations. Award-winning chainsaw artist James Lukinich returns, and the SeaGals of Lincoln City will once again offer their popular bake sale.

Live music begins Friday with guitarist Richard Paris, followed by Bret Lucich and the Headturners. Saturday features a solo performance by Bret Lucich before Soul Proprietors closes out the festival with classic Motown, funk and soul favorites.

A raffle for a chainsaw carving by James Lukinich will be held at 3:30 pm Saturday, with no need to be present to win.

Friday’s festival runs from 11 am to 6 pm and Saturday’s from 10 am to 4 pm at the Lincoln City Cultural Center, located at 540 NE Hwy. 101.
