Bean looking for a way to support the arts?

Fill your heart and your belly by supporting a new ceramics studio upgrade when the Lincoln City Cultural Center hosts its Chili Bowl Fund-raiser in Lincoln City this Saturday, April 11.

The event will raise funds for a new studio sink designed to improve the clay collection system, helping prevent ceramic materials from clogging wastewater systems in the historic building while making cleanup more efficient for artists.

Guests can enjoy homemade chili prepared by Ceramics Director Heather Goble, along with chowder provided by Mo’s Seafood and Chowder. Live music will be performed by local musician William Goble.

The highlight of the fund-raiser are the handcrafted bowls created and donated by members of the ceramics studio. For $35, guests can select a bowl to keep and enjoy a serving of chili or chowder with all the fixings. Chili will also be available à la carte for $7.

Saturday’s fund-raiser begins at 3 pm at the Lincoln City Cultural Center, 540 NE Hwy. 101. For more information, go to lincolncity-culturalcenter.org or call 541-994-9994.
