Twin-credible music

Two voices that have been singing together for a lifetime will fill the Lincoln City Cultural Center when Portland-born duo Acoustic Minds takes the stage this Saturday, Oct. 3.

Fronted by identical twin sisters Jenni and Amanda Price, Acoustic Minds has built a distinctive sound around the sisters’ closely matched voices and natural musical chemistry. Alongside longtime collaborators Aaron Altemose and Josh Lorenzen, the group layers rich vocal harmonies with bass-driven grooves, modern production and electronic textures, moving easily between soul, pop, rock and electronic influences.

The result is music that can feel intimate one moment and expansive the next. Acoustic Minds has spent more than 15 years developing a sound that is difficult to place in a single category, pairing heartfelt songwriting with adventurous production and an energetic live presence.

Portland audiences have followed the Price sisters since the group’s earlier acoustic and soul-driven days, when their vocal blend first attracted attention in the Northwest music scene. Over the years, Acoustic Minds has continued to evolve, bringing electronic production and deeper rhythmic elements into the mix while keeping harmonies and songwriting at the heart of the music.

“Acoustic Minds has that rare combination of great songwriting, incredible vocal chemistry and a sound that keeps surprising you,” said Program Director Jason Corso. “Jenni and Amanda’s harmonies are something special, and we’re excited to bring the full Acoustic Minds experience to our auditorium.”

Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
