Time for a little fun

Body slams, high-flying moves and larger-than-life personalities take over Chinook Winds Casino Resort this Saturday, May 30, when Midget Wrestling Warriors brings its Destiny Awakened tour to Lincoln City.

The touring promotion blends classic wrestling spectacle with modern independent wrestling style, delivering fast-paced matches, theatrical rivalries and crowd-pleasing chaos inside the ring.

Midget wrestling has been part of professional wrestling history for more than a century, growing from traveling carnival and vaudeville performances into a popular arena attraction during the 1940s and 1950s. Legendary performers including Sky Low Low, Little Beaver and Lord Littlebrook helped establish the sport’s reputation for combining athleticism, humor and outsized personalities.

Modern promotions like Midget Wrestling Warriors continue that tradition with a roster of performers drawn from around the world.

Among the featured wrestlers is Short Sleeve Sampson, one of the best-known names in modern midget wrestling. Throughout a career spanning more than 25 years, Sampson has appeared in WWE, TNA and Hulk Hogan’s Micro Championship Wrestling while becoming known for his fast-paced style and comedic charisma.

One of the standout female performers on the Midget Wrestling Warriors roster is Zoey Skye. Blending high-energy offense with quick agility and crowd interaction, Skye brings a modern independent wrestling flair to the ring. Her performances combine athleticism, attitude and theatrical showmanship, helping expand the visibility of women within contemporary midget wrestling promotions.

Also appearing is Rob The Giant, a Boston-area brawler who mixes powerhouse offense with theatrical villainy. Billing himself as hailing from “The Dark Side of the Yellow Brick Road,” Rob has become a fan favorite for his oversized personality and aggressive in-ring style.

Rounding out the lineup is Reyna Marina, the self-described “Queen of the Seven Seas.” Marina is one of the rising stars of Midget Wrestling Warriors. Originally from Naucalpan de Juárez, Mexico, she brings a mix of athleticism, swagger and lucha-inspired style to the ring. Trained by wrestlers Sheikh and Demasiado, she has quickly built a reputation for toughness and resilience while becoming a regular presence on the promotion’s touring cards across the United States and Canada.

Bell time for Saturday’s event is at 8 pm at Chinook Winds Casino Resort, located 1777 NW 44th Street in Lincoln City. Tickets range from $15 to $25. For more information or tickets, go to chinookwindscasino.com or call 1-888-244-6665.
