Couldn’t we all use a little good news?
A local girl made good returns to Lincoln City for the Reb and the Good News album-release party at the Lincoln City Cultural Center this Friday, July 18.
Now based in Portland, vocalist and songwriter Rebecca “Reb” Conner has a powerful voice and magnetic presence that leads the charge on a joyful journey through funk, soul, Afrobeat and reggae. She is supported by her creative partner, sax and keys player Leon Cotter, along with trumpet player Cyrus Nabipoor, bassist Ross Garlow, drummer Kirk Kalbfleisch and percussionist Carmelo Torres. The band members deliver high-energy performances with messages of positivity, connection and hope.
“Reb and the Good News are all about heart and rhythm,” said Jason Corso, programs director at the center. “Their music is infectious — it gets you dancing, smiling and feeling good. It’s the perfect summer night show.”
With rich harmonies, funky basslines and messages rooted in social awareness and love, the band has quickly gained a reputation as one of the Pacific Northwest’s most exciting live acts. The Lincoln City performance is part of the 2025 summer tour, bringing the “good news” to communities throughout the region.
Tickets are $18 in advance and $23 at the door.
The show begins at 7 pm at the Lincoln City Cultural Center, located at 540 NE Hwy. 101.
