Have your elf a merry little Christmas

Find Your “Elf” in Waldport, a shop-local holiday scavenger hunt, is back at the town’s businesses through Sunday, Jan. 4.

At each of the 25 participating locations, guests can enter a drawing for a free gift basket that includes Yokov the Fiddle Playin’ Elf. Waldport “Elf Queen” Rhonda D’Amico chose Yokov this year as a tribute to Louis Southworth, the Oregon Black pioneer who donated land for Waldport’s first school. The new park named in his honor features the largest playground on the Oregon Coast, a dog park, soccer fields and more amenities to come.

The Find Your “Elf” in Waldport promotion offers a fun way to support local businesses throughout the holiday season and into the new year. Participating locations will display elves and provide entry slips for the prize drawing.
