Giving Tree returns to Lincoln City

Jillian’s Hair Salon’s Giving Tree fund-raiser is back in Lincoln City through Wednesday, Dec. 24 collecting food, toys and other non-cash donations to support local animal rescue groups.

Salon owner Jill Morris has hosted the annual giving drive for more than a decade, encouraging customers and friends to help animals in need during the holiday season.

Non-cash donations are placed on and around a Giving Tree inside the salon.

New this year, Morris is also selling raffle tickets for a basket filled with $300 worth of beauty products. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5.

“I will pull the winning ticket the day before Christmas,” Morris said. “That way the winner can have the chance to use it as a gift for someone else if they choose to.”

This year’s recipients are Ruff Life Rescue in Grande Ronde and the Lincoln County Animal Shelter.

“They both do important work and are always so thankful,” Morris said. “I don’t do it for the thanks, but the thanks are still nice anyway.”

Donations can be dropped off through Wednesday, Dec. 24, at Jillian’s Hair Salon, located at 1315 SW Hwy. 101 in Lincoln City. For more information, call 541-996-4247.
