Evolution is in the Air
New York Times bestselling author Cat Bohannon will share her body of work with the Manzanita Writers' Series this Saturday, July 19.
The evening will include a moderated discussion with Bohannon, who will present excerpts and anecdotes from, “Eve: How the Female Body Drove 200 Million Years of Human Evolution.” Bohannon, who holds a PhD from Columbia University, is known for her capacity to illuminate and surprise her audiences and readers with scientific research mixed with wisdom and wit. Her work has appeared in Science, The Atlantic, Scientific American, The Best American Nonrequired Reading, Lapham’s Quarterly, The Georgia Review and Poets Against the War. Eve, her first book, was named a finalist for the Orwell Prize and longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Non-fiction. She lives with her family in Seattle.
