Catch ‘Streetcar’ in Newport
Enjoy a special screening of Tennessee Williams’ timeless masterpiece, “A Streetcar Named Desire” at the Newport Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
Filmed live during a sold-out run at London’s Young Vic Theatre, this visionary production directed by Benedict Andrews stars a powerhouse cast led by Gillian Anderson of “The X Files,” Vanessa Kirby of “The Crown” and Ben Foster of “Lone Survivor.”
The play follows Blanche DuBois as her fragile world crumbles, forcing her to seek solace with her sister, Stella. Her downward spiral, however, brings her into a brutal confrontation with Stella’s partner, Stanley Kowalski.
