The Aces Banquet Room in Lincoln City will come alive with costumes and dance-floor fun when Beach Buddies holds its fourth annual Halloween Costume Dance Party this Saturday, Oct. 31.
Open to adults of all abilities, the party will feature a costume contest, finger food, non-alcoholic beverages and music spun by DJ Murdles. Families, friends, caregivers, volunteers and supporters are welcome to join the celebration.
“This is our biggest event of the year and a great time for all of our buddies, their families, friends, and supporters,” said Amy Farhat, Beach Buddies co-founder and president. “We welcome all adults who want to join this annual celebration with us and enjoy a ghoulish afternoon of good fun.”
Founded in 2019, Beach Buddies brings adults who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities together for social events, volunteer activities and community outings throughout the Central Oregon Coast and Lincoln County. The nonprofit’s Halloween gathering offers another opportunity to build friendships and strengthen community connections.
“By celebrating together, the community moves inclusion from a principle into an integral active practice,” Farhat said.
Saturday’s party runs from 1 to 4 pm at the Aces Banquet Room, located at 3245 NE 50th Street in Lincoln City. For more information about the party, other activities, volunteering or donating, go to beachbuddieslc.org.
