Brace yourself for geology talk

Pelican Brewing on Siletz Bay boasts a view that changes by the day, the hour, even the minute. As part of the Cascade Head Biosphere Collaborative Natural Arts and Sciences on Tap series, the brewery and restaurant will host “Understanding the Earth Under our Feet,” a dynamic geological history of the Oregon Coast with a special emphasis on Siletz Bay and the Lincoln City area this Friday, Oct. 17.

Presenter Scott Burns, renowned earth scientist and Professor Emeritus in Geology at Portland State University, will reveal how our coastline has been shaped over millions of years, including many of the land features we live with every day. Bring your questions and curiosity to this educational evening along the Siletz Bay.

Friday’s presentation begins at 6 pm at Pelican Brewing on Siletz Bay, located at 5911 SW Hwy. 101 in Lincoln City.
