Blues Man Ready to Paint the Town Red
Some musicians win awards. Then there are the very few who have awards named after them. Terry Robb — hailed as a blues guitar virtuoso and one of the finest acoustic guitarists on the international scene — is one of the latter.
Enjoy an unforgettable evening of American roots music with Robb at the Lincoln City Cultural Center this Friday, Aug. 1.
The Vancouver-born, Portland-based bluesman took home the Muddy Award for Best Acoustic Guitar so many times that the Cascade Blues Association finally broke down and attached his name to the trophy permanently.
With a career spanning more than four decades, Robb has earned an international reputation for his signature blend of Delta blues, ragtime and swing. He has shared the stage with legends like B.B. King, John Fahey and Buddy Guy and has released more than 15 acclaimed albums. His dynamic live shows highlight both his technical mastery and deep connection to the roots of American music.
Robb has been honored with an induction into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame, 40 Muddy Awards from the Cascade Blues Association and multiple Blues Foundation nominations, making him a cornerstone of the Pacific Northwest music scene.
“This is a rare opportunity to experience one of the most respected guitarists in the country, right here in Lincoln City,” said cultural center Program Director Jason Corso. “Terry Robb’s performances are not just concerts — they're journeys through the heart of American blues.”
Friday’s concert begins at 7 pm at the Lincoln City Cultural Center, located at 540 NE Hwy. 101.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. For more information, go to lincolncity-culturalcenter.org or call 541-994-9994.
