Surf City Classic Car Show returns to Lincoln City
There are plenty of car shows on the Central Oregon Coast. But Lincoln City’s Surf City Classic Car Show and Sound Off is a car show…in stereo.
The high-octane event, featuring a car, truck and motorcycle show and a car audio sound competition, will take place at Chinook Winds Casino Resort this weekend.
Saturday, Aug. 23, is fueled by cool classics, 4x4s, motorcycles and every description of American-made muscle car. Whether you’re there to show and shine your cherished chariot or admire the automotive audacity of others, you won’t be able to steer clear of the fun.
There are classes for every type of vehicle, including best of show.
Sunday, Aug. 24, starts with a bang, as Sound Off competitors vie for awards for the loudest car audio and the best sound quality.
The weekend also includes live music, food and a vendor fair featuring car-related items.
Registration for the Surf City car, truck and bike show and Surf City Sound Off is $20 and includes entry into one competition format, a t-shirt and $5 in free slot play at the casino.
Ten dollars from each registration will go to support Angels Anonymous, a local nonprofit organization created to assist local residents with basic, immediate needs.
In 2024, the event raised almost $19,000. This year, organizers hope is to raise even more for this worthy local charity.
The exciting event will take place in the main parking lot in front of the casino. Day-of registration is available at the registration booth between 8 am and 11 am Saturday and 8 am and 10 am on Sunday.
Chinook Winds Casino Resort, owned and operated by the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, is located 1777 NW 44th Street in Lincoln City. For more information, go to chinookwindscasino.com or call 888-244-6665.
