The Heceta Lighthouse B&B will continue a 23-year tradition this weekend, inviting guests to enjoy music, festive refreshments and night-time lighthouse views at its Annual Victorian Christmas Open House.

Running this weekend and next, the celebration sees the Queen Anne-style Keeper’s House decorated inside and out with festive Victorian holiday decorations. Warming drinks and treats will be on offer and local musicians will play holiday favorites each evening, with performers including Ron Stanley, Sea String Quartet, Hammer and Whistle, Heart Song, High Tide and Marty Adams. Even Santa will be making an appearance to welcome children of all ages.

A holiday raffle will offer the chance to win a free night’s stay at the bed & breakfast, as well as great prizes from local artists and businesses. The Heceta Lighthouse Gift Shop will be open and filled with special lighthouse gifts for Christmas shopping.

Guests are encouraged to bring a flashlight and take a night-time walk to the Heceta Head Lightstation and witness the magical sight of the lighthouse beams rotating overhead.

Entry to the Keeper’s House is free, but donations are gladly accepted. Parking is available at the Heceta Head Lighthouse State Scenic View Point, just below the Keeper’s House, for $5 per vehicle. A free shuttle bus will take visitors from the park right to the front door, but guests who bring warm, rainproof clothing and a flashlight can also enjoy the short walk up from the beach to the festivities.

The Annual Victorian Christmas Open House will run from 4 to 7 pm this Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 8 and 9, and again on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 15 and 16, located 14 miles south of Yachats just off Highway 101.
