The Yachats Ladies Club will host its 91st Annual Christmas Bazaar this weekend, offering the chance to find unique, handmade gifts while supporting the local community.
The three-day event sees the Yachats Ladies Clubhouse decked out with cheery holiday decorations and packed with a huge array of clever, beautiful and useful handmade items, all made by club members. Offerings run the gamut from slippers, hats and scarves, to journals; holiday décor, doggie scarves and much more. A wonderful selection of delightful holiday goodies, including candies, cakes, cookies and breads, will be sold as well.
On Saturday, Dec. 1, from 11 am to 2 pm, a lunch of sloppy joes with a side of macaroni salad and choice of coffee or tea will be served for $8. Pie will be served all day starting at 10 am along with coffee and tea.
Guests can spread some holiday goodwill by buying Welcome Bags for residents of the My Sisters’ Place domestic abuse shelter. For $25, a bag containing towel sets and toiletries will be delivered to the shelter to welcome a person in crisis.
On Sunday, Dec. 3, the club will raffle off a handmade quilt to raise money for its Scholarship Fund. This year’s nautical-themed quilt features a lighthouse rendered in various shades of turquoise and orange. Tickets, $1 apiece, will be for sale throughout the weekend and the drawing will take place at 2 pm on Sunday.
The Annual Christmas Bazaar will run from 10 am to 3 pm on Friday, Nov. 30, as well as Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1 and 2, at the Yachats Ladies Clubhouse, 286 W 3rd and Pontiac Streets.
Admission is free. For more information, call Huck Huckins at 541-547-5425 or go to www.yachatsladiesclub.org.
