Whether your family needs something to calm the nerves after a day of shopping, or just wants to burn off some Thanksgiving calories, the Manzanita Holiday Kids Fair has the answer this Friday, Nov. 23.

Local organizations and non-profits will fill Pine Grove Community House with special hands-on arts and crafts projects and games for kids to make and enjoy. Light refreshments will also be on offer, along with a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Fun activities will be on offer courtesy of a slate of local community groups including Friends of NCRD, Oregon Beach Experiences, CARTM & the Refindery, The Rinehart Clinic, The Love Coalition, Women’s Club of North County-Manzanita, Nehalem Bay Methodist Church, Tillamook Estuaries Partnership, Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad, Cannon Beach History Center & Museum and the Cannon Beach Art Association.

Local author Brian Cameron will be on hand to sign and sell copies of his newest book, “25 Family Adventures on Oregon’s Tillamook Coast.”

The event will run from 5 to 8 pm, at 225 Laneda Avenue, with Santa arriving by Nehalem Bay Fire & Rescue fire truck at 5:30 pm.
