Lincoln City will be the scene of a sizzling standoff this Saturday, July 14, as local nonprofits vie for glory by serving up gourmet delights at Beach, Bacon & Brews.

Alongside bacon delights, guests will get to sample more than 20 microbrews and ciders from throughout the Pacific Northwest, all served up against a backdrop of stunning ocean views and live music.

Now in its fourth year, the event will see 11 nonprofits competing for the ultimate bragging rights of being named People’s and Judge’s choice champions. Each group will be selling bacon bites for a dollar a time, with all proceeds helping fund their nonprofit missions.

Among the treats on offer will be bacon-wrapped asparagus and bacon-stuffed meatloaf, served up by the Lincoln City Chamber of Commerce working alongside pro chef Travis Ferguson, owner of Younguns BBQ in Portland.

Samples of beer and cider are included in the cost of admission. Breweries and cider houses from across Oregon will have booths at the event, including Ace Cider, Arch Rock, AVID CIDER, Breakside, Buoy, Deluxe, Good Life, Ground Breaker, Merchant Du Vin, Monkless, Ninkasi, Oakshire Brewing, Ordnance, Pelican and Three Creeks.

Food vendors will also be on hand selling a range of menu items.

A slate of live music will kick off at noon with blues star Ty Curtis, followed at 2 pm by rhythm, Motown and blues from Lil Queenie. The Mike Branch Band will round out the day with bombastic rock from 4 to 5:30 pm.

Beach Bacon & Brews runs from noon to 6 pm on the oceanfront grass lot behind Chinook Winds Casino Resort, 1777 NW 44th Street.

Admission is $25 and includes $5 in free slot play, beer tastings, live music and access to great food vendors. Designated driver tickets are available at a reduced price. Tickets are available at the Chinook Winds Casino Resort Box Office or online to www.chinookwindscasino.com.
