Oregon Coast author Suzy Nelson will be presenting her works this Saturday, Dec. 9, at Lincoln City’s Driftwood Public Library.

Nelson, who taught high school English for 15 years, has written and published five books in total, including two children’s tales, “Andy, the Reincarnated Cat” and her latest work, “Robin Hood Has Gone to the Dogs.”

She is also the author of “Before the Last Bell Rings,” a novel about a teacher in a gang school who accidentally kills her mean administrator.

Her nonfiction offerings are “Now What?” a memoir about raising her four preschoolers alone in the ’60s, and “Things Your Mother Never Taught You About Getting Older,” which offers suggestions for dealing with surgeries, based on Nelson’s personal experience of undergoing five joint replacements.

Nelson’s presentation will run from 1 to 3 pm at the library, located on the second floor of the Lincoln Square Civic complex at 801 SW Hwy. 101.

A free book drawing will take place after the presentation. The winner must be present to win.
