Returning for an eye-opening 90th year, the Annual Christmas Bazaar from the Yachats Ladies Club will offer a huge range of unique, handcrafted gifts this weekend, as well as the last chance of the year to enjoy the club’s homemade pies.

Decked out in cheery holiday finery, the clubhouse will be packed with clever, beautiful and useful handmade items all made by club members. Guests will find everything from slippers, hats and scarves to jewelry, ornaments and artwork as well as pet gifts and a wide range of edible goodies including candies, cakes, cookies and breads.

On Saturday, lunch will be served from 11 am to 2 pm — a hearty chili with homemade corn bread and choice of coffee or tea for $7. A vegetarian option is available.

Pie will be served all day starting at 10 am and coffee and tea will be offered. To-go boxes are available so guests can have their pie and eat it, too.

This year, for the first time, the Yachats Ladies Club is also selling whole, homemade pies as a fundraiser for Hurricane Relief.

Gifts-On-The-Go themed gift baskets will also be for sale, packed with interesting selections of gifts, artfully arranged and easy to mail.

Guests can also spread some holiday goodwill by buying a Welcome Bags for a resident of the My Sisters’ Place domestic abuse shelter. For $25, a bag containing towel sets and toiletries will be delivered to the shelter to welcome a person in crisis.

Each year the Yachats Ladies Club creates and raffles off a handmade quilt to raise money for its Scholarship Fund. This year’s offering, a beautiful queen size quilt called “Star Bright” featuring jewel-tone batik fabrics, will be on display during the weekend. Tickets, $1 apiece, will be for sale throughout the weekend. The drawing will take place at 2 pm on Sunday, Dec. 3, with the winner notified by phone.

The bazaar will run from noon to 6 pm on Friday, Dec. 1, and 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday and Sunday, December 2 and 3 at the Yachats Ladies Clubhouse, 286 W 3rd at Pontiac Street. Admission is free.
