Have you ever Googled a tremoloa? If not, it’s time to hit the keyboard so you’ll know what to expect when the Lincoln County Historical Society hosts its annual Holiday Gathering this Saturday, Dec. 1.

The fun and casual mixer will feature a performance of rare vintage instruments from Brent Bunker, who will be putting the aforementioned tremoloa through its paces, along with a ukalin, harp o’lyre and Marxophone.

Festivities will take place around the glowing fireplace in the Great Room of the Pacific Maritime Heritage Center. Guests will get to enjoy festive refreshments while they check out the museum’s exhibits and enjoy unmatched views of Newport’s Historic Bayfront.

During the event, the center’s gift shop will be offering a special holiday discount. The shop stocks a range of maritime and history publications, as well as locally produced items.

The holiday gathering will run from 1 to 4 pm at 333 SE Bay Blvd. Parking is available at the top of the hill.

Admission is free for members and kids under 12, and $5 for non-members.
