The latest Spotlight Show from Newport’s Yaquina Art Association will feature glass art by Marsha Christian alongside watercolors by JoAnn Campbell.

Marsha Christian has worked with stained glass for about 35 years. Her interest began when she wanted to find a hobby for her son. He made one piece, but Christian discovered that she couldn’t stop at just one glass project. She loves working with glass, watching it come alive before her eyes and seeing people’s reactions to a finished piece.

Christian has also found a new love for jewelry, combining precious stones with glass beads to create one-of-a-kind pieces.

JoAnn Campbell is originally from New Jersey, where she spent her career at a nuclear power plant before retiring and traveling around the US in a motor home. In 2002, she and her husband moved to Newport, where she now enjoys watercolor painting as well as gardening, genealogy and crafts.

The show will be on display through November 23, available to view from 11 am to 4 pm daily at the Yaquina Art Association Gallery, 789 NW Beach Drive.
