Mutt Masters
Mutts muster on May 17, 2008
Every dog has its day, and, for dogs on the Oregon Coast, that day is Saturday, May 17. The Mutt Masters Dog Show and Olympics will be held in Lincoln City on May 17, at 1545 SE 50th Street. Any dog, purebred or mixed breed, can compete in contest and show categories that include Cutest Puppy, Fastest 20-Yard Dash, Best Smile and Sweetest Smoocher. Prizes will be awarded in each category, and the “Best in Show” winner will receive a Lincoln City weekend package valued at over $300. You won’t need four paws to have fun at Mutt Masters. Upright bipeds will have an uproarious good time, too. There will be food, booths selling pet-related goodies and the simple hilarity of watching man’s best friend in something-less-than fierce competition. Mutt Masters promises to be great family fun, even if the family dog can’t come. General admission is $2 per person, kids 12 and under are admitted free. Mutt Masters Dog Show and Olympics will be held from noon until about 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 17. Registration will begin at 11 a.m. The registration fee is $2 per category per dog. All proceeds from the event will go to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter. For more information, to pre-register your best friend or for information about how to become a vendor, call the Lincoln City Visitor and Convention Bureau at 800-452-2151 or 541-996-2119 or visit www.oregoncoast.org.
