Richie Blue, Henry Cooper and Friends — Richie is an old pal, but its his first time in the lounge. He has a great guitar and vocal style -- they don’t call him BLUE for nothing. He’ll be joined by blues luminary, Henry Cooper and one of the hottest rhythm sections around, Ashbolt Stewart and his lovely and talented wife, Susie (from the band, Bolt Upright). The Summit Underground — Mike Riley is a consistent and generous blues player who has lived the life all his life. Finn Hagerty Benefit Concert — The Retroactive Gamma Rays, A Cemetery Sky, Arise The Dead and The Roadside Killers will play at this “Spring Beach Party” benefit for Finn Hagerty, a 1996 graduate of Nestucca High School and Cloverdale native. Hagerty has been diagnosed with a rare form of lung cancer, has been to Washington, D.C., to get treatment, and is currently on medication to fight it. Kevin Selfe & the Tornadoes — Selfe, who last year moved to Portland from his base in Roanoke, Va., has played over 1,500 gigs in 15 states over the past 10 years, conquering a wide circle of East Coast venues. But his new start in the Northwest has given him a fresh outlook. He is starting to get some recognition in Portland, with two Muddy nominations from the Cascade Blues Association. Touchy Feeliacs — Alt rock from Eugene veterans, featuring Dana Vion originals. Dana has been writing songs for 20 years and while everyone at the Landmark knows about the import of classics and standards, it’s also nice to hear originals. This band has been playing quite a bit and is arriving at the coast during a busy run. Dana Vion’s songs are funky, well-arranged music that rocks. Mare Wakefield — Mare Wakefield, honored as “favorite female performer” by readers of The Eugene Weekly and at folk festivals nationwide, offers a mellow blend of contemporary folk and country vocals, accompanied by her acoustic guitar and by her husband, Turkish-born Nomad Ovunc on bass and keyboard, with background vocals. The Streamliners — This band plays music by such artists as Louis Prima, Mose Allison, Ray Charles, and other traditional blues and R&B artists. A somewhat different approach to the blues, led by guitarist Michael Anderson. He’s originally from the coast and has played all over, solo, in jazz groups and behind the sound boards recording and producing. He’s joined by Gus Russell on keys, a player steeped in the R&B tradition who has performed with Bo Diddly, Elvin Bishop, Chris Cain, Paul Delay, Curtis Salgado and many top bands throughout the Northwest. On drums is Rick Markstrom, keeping the beat since the late 60s, and on bass is New York City native Mike Hatgis, who has performed Top 40, Middle-Eastern dance, R&B, Blues, Jazz, and Latin. 9 p.m. THE LANDMARK, 111 HWY. 101, YACHATS, 541-547-5459.
