Neskowin hosts The Boston Trio

As the Neskowin Chamber Music season winds down, the acts continue to heat up, with the world-renowned Boston Trio playing this Sunday, March 17.

“Whenever this trio plays, drop everything and go hear them!” hailed the Boston Globe on the occasion of the Boston Trio’s Tanglewood debut at Ozawa Hall. Acclaimed for their superb sense of ensemble and wondrous balance, these virtuosic musicians are committed to creating exceptional and daring performances of the standard and contemporary repertoire.

The Boston Trio is passionately committed to furthering the exposure and performances of new music and have premiered several works written for and dedicated to them.

Violinist Irina Muresanu, cellist Jonah Ellsworth and pianist Heng-Jin Park each have distinguished careers and have appeared with major orchestras and premier music festivals throughout the US and Europe.

Park, the founder of the Boston Trio and founder and artistic director of Halcyon Music Festival, made her solo debut with the Boston Pops at the age of 15.

During the past two seasons, the trio has performed at prestigious venues worldwide. The group is committed to bringing chamber music to a broader community through outreach activities at public schools and assisted living centers. The group’s individual members serve on the faculties of the New England Conservatory, the University of Maryland and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and are in demand as master class teachers throughout the US, Asia and Europe.

Sunday’s concert begins at 3 pm at the Winema Christian Camp, located at 5195 Winema Road in Cloverdale. Tickets, $30 for adults and $10 for kids, are available at the door. Cash or check only. For more information, go to neskowinchambermusic.com.
